Chevrolet Equinox Hybrid Coming Soon

Like the upcoming Chevy Volt, the release of the Chevrolet Equinox will be closely watched as GM desperately needs popular models to boost sales at dealerships and put consumer perceptions back on track. The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox is almost here, but already a new hybrid model is said to become available for the 2011 model year.

With General Motors facing major financial challenges, it has been forced to get rid of a number of brands under its huge umbrella. One of these brands is Saturn, which includes the Saturn Vue Hybrid SUV. As one of the most affordable hybrid SUVs available, the Salt Lake City service and parts specialists believe that GM realized the same system should also be implemented within the upcoming Equinox to better provide the fuel efficiency that consumers demand.

With Saturn’s sale to Penske Automotive Group, GM realized they needed the technology behind the Vue hybrid, and upcoming Volt plug-in hybrid, to reduce fleetwide fuel economy and appease eco-conscious car buyers. Luckily says Louisville Auto Loans, even despite Saturn’s sale, the automaker will retain the technology and utilize it quickly for the upcoming Equinox and other vehicles.

For 2011, the Chevrolet Equinox will feature a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a two-mode hybrid drive system. The new system will differ slightly from the existing system featured in the Saturn Vue according to one used car dealer Hartford because the Equinox’s engine is a larger than the Vue’s 3.0-liter unit.

The engine for the 2011 Chevrolet Equinox hybrid will be mated to an Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT). This transmission us currently used by other hybrids within GM’s lineup, such as the Chevy Tahoe and Silverado pickup. With hybrid SUVs costing significantly more than gasoline-only models, it’s hard to predict how successful the Equinox will be. After allFree Web Content, just look at the Vue hybrid’ sales.

Chevrolet Aveo5 Review

GM has been hit hard in recent months, partially due to its lack of attractive, affordable compacts. But that’s not to say they don’t have at least one! The Chevrolet Aveo5 is exactly that type of car that can help a car dealer such as Detroit Chevrolet dealers maintain a foothold in a struggling economy. But with plenty of competition, the Chevy Aveo5 has a tough job in The Chevy Aveo5 offers plenty of efficiency. With 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, the fuel economy is one of the Aveo’s strengths. Plus, acceleration is also decent. By no means does that Aveo5 offer speedy acceleration and power, but the little car does get up and go without too much struggle. An anomaly though is that the Aveo5 does not come with standard ABS, whivrolets trucks, classic truck parts, pick up trule much of the competition does. That being said, the brakes still bring the car to a halt without too much struggle and remains easy to control.

Despite being an economy car with a short wheelbase, the Chevrolet Aveo5 offers a compliant ride, even over the most unpleasant roads. Around corners, Durango Chevy tester drivers feel that the Aveo5’s suspension is also competent. Although the handling doesn’t provide a sporty feel, it offers plenty of responsiveness that should put it on part with the likes of the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.

Outside, drivers will find a recently redesigned exterior that offers and clean, curvy, and modern look that should appeal to plenty of Spokane Chevy drivers. Aside from the traditional bow-tie front-end, the Chevy does offer unique styling.

With tight dimensions, those who want a compact vehicle that’s easy to maneuver around tight parking structures will be happy with the Aveo. But despite its stout exterior dimensions, Lamesa TX Chevrolet shoppers have found that the inside of the Aveo5 provides a good amount of space, with a strong seating position. However, interior plastics are a bit subpar, with hard surfaces and a mediocre faux aluminum accents. The average driver and passenger may find the interior to be plenty roomy for a compact car, but larger drivers may feel a bit cramped.

The latest Chevy Aveo5 provides not only the size, styling, and efficiency to make it a competitive model in its segment, but also provides the right price. While there’s not too much that makes it stand out from its competition, it does manage to do everything well. While not the most refined, it should provide an excellent vehicle for those looking to save money and still have enough room for passengers and cargo.
